HOW WE EDIT

Your paper goes through a two-step editing process that clarifies your ideas and removes Chinese English without changing your meaning. Our goal is to make your paper publishable.

Reasons that journals often reject English papers by native Chinese speakers or request substantial revision.

Rejection Common Errors
  • 被動語態修正 Active voice corrections
  • 使用過多名詞而非動詞 Noun to verb change corrections
  • 使用強勢動詞 Creating strong verbs
  • 避免過度使用 “It" and “There"
  • 不清楚的代名詞 Use pronouns clearly (they, which, them, this, it, he, she, etc.)
  • 多餘和無用的詞句 Deleting redundancy and extra words (while maintaining the author’s meaning)
  • 動詞時態變化 Verb tense change within a sentence
  • 不完整的對照比較 Omitting comparisons
  • 主詞和動詞無法對應 Subject and verb agreement

Our editors can modify your papers to improve their readability, replace inadequate phrases, and modify spelling and grammatical errors. To improve the structure and clarity of your papers, we will also change sentence order when necessary. We will also clearly mark sections that require modification for your reference, and you can decide whether to accept our changes. We have carefully investigated writing errors commonly found in Taiwanese research papers, and we make the following modifications during editing:

  • Active voice corrections
  • Noun-to-verb corrections
  • Create strong verbs
  • Remove "it" and "there" expletive constructions
  • Clarify pronoun usage (they, which, them, this, it, he, she, etc.)
  • Delete redundant text
  • Ensure correct and consistent verb tense
  • Subject and verb agreement

SUBMISSION

Let Wallace’s Submission Service help you publish papers in SCI/SSCI journals

Understanding submission instructions, writing to journal editors, and using online submission software (most journals use a software tool to manage submissions) can be challenging. Furthermore, all communications must be conducted in English, and communicating with journal editors can add to the stress of having a paper published. We act as a mediator between you and your target journal, speaking English to the editor and Chinese to you to help you submit your manuscript correctly and on time.

Through our professional and high-quality services, we continue providing academia with English writing resources—seminars, courses, publications, and more—to facilitate interaction among editors and researchers and constantly improve our services.
